What if i told you that there is no need of avoiding rice?
What if i told you that rice does have fibre?
Rice, being the staple food of many Indians, cannot be avoided from diet.
This is a sheer myth and is not the fact.
Milled & Polished Rice (aka white rice), is highly processed, meaning it has zero fibre.
This rice will cause a sudden spike in blood sugar levels. As it lacks fibre, it wont give you satiety too.
Have you heard about parboiled rice or hand-pounded rice? These are unprocessed and high in fibre. They are most reasonable too as compared to so called "brown rice", which is highly adulterated these days in market.
Combine parboiled & hand pounded rice with lots of vegetables and pulses/lean meat to give added health benefits.
So guys please enjoy your meals by including rice in correct & controlled portions with appropriate combinations.
Tell us what combination will you cook & use?
