Chickpea cutlet with Coleslaw salad

Falafal without Pita Bread. Vegetarian Keto meal dish

Try this for children with bread or rolled into chapati

Ingredients

To make Chickpea cutlet:

Chickpeas, 1 cup (soaked for 14 - 16 hours)

Basil leaves, few nos

Coriander leaves, 1 handful

Green chillies, 2 no

Curry leaves, 1 handful

Lemon, 1 whole

Salt to taste

Olive oil, 2 tbsp

Water as required


To make Coleslaw salad:

Bell pepper, 1 no julienne cut

Carrot, 2 no grated

Cabbage, 1 cup shredded

Mayonnaise, 2 tbsp

Mixed herbs, black pepper powder & salt for taste

Tomato ketchup, 1 tbsp


Method

To make Cutlet:

  1. Blenderize all the ingredients together to form a coarse paste.

  2. The consistency should be thick enough to make cutlets. Do not add water initially

  3. Form cutlets from the paste & roast it on pan with 1 tsp oil on both sides until done

To make Coleslaw salad:

  1. Mix all the ingredients to make salad

The dish is ready & enjoy !!!


Tips

* You can add onion & garlic, as i have not added to make it jain

* You can also make a wrap by filling this in the chapati & enjoy as Lebanese franky
