Green Hummus

Weight Loss / Vegan Protein dish....Mixed Legumes / Pulses with Spinach, in hummus style



Ingredients:

Whole Green gram (Green Moong), 1/2 cup (soaked & partially boiled)

Chickpeas, (Chole), 1/2 cup (soaked & partially boiled)

Spinach, 1/2 cup

Ginger, 1/2 inch pc

Green chillies, 2 no

Lemon, 1 med size

Basil leaves, few no (optional)

Rock Salt, 1/2 tsp

Salt, 1/4 tsp

Black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp

Garlic, 1 pod (you can add more garlic if you love its taste)

Sesame seeds, 2 tbsp

Oil, 2 tbsp

Water, as needed to blenderize


Method:

Blenderise all the ingredients together to make a creamy paste by adding water little by little as required.


Serve in a bowl, by topping it with 1 tbsp oil & red chillie flakes or red chilli powder


Enjoy this vegan protein dip with veggie stick as a perfect weight loss meal

You can also have this with Khakra or Pita bread or Millet crackers



Tip:

You can make red hummus, by adding boiled beet instead of spinach

You can make orange hummus by adding boiled carrots instead of spinach

You can make white hummus by just using chickpeas & spices only
