What if i told you that the way you cook is wrong. The way our ancestors have been cooking is wrong. The way we have learnt the cooking is wrong.

How do we make sabhji's?

We heat oil, add mustard seeds, wait for it to splutter then add other seasonings.


The oil that we heated and waited for long, now reaches its smoking point. Heating oil beyond its smoking point, makes the fat/oil rancid (unfit for human consumption). It's property changes.This causes changes in arteries, leading factor for death due to blockages.


How do we correct then? How do we cook sabhji's?

Have you seen Italian cooking recipe shows? How do they make pasta?

They cook the pasta dish completely and drip or top it up with Olive oil once its ready.


Exactly, this is how we need to cook

Mustard seeds & cumin seeds don't require oil to splutter.

Heat the pan, dry (without oil), add the seasonings. You may cover the pan with lid. Once the spluttering is over, add the vegetables & then add fat/oil.


This reduces the direct contact of oil from the heat, thus giving us the health benefits of different oils.
